Thank you for making me smile. While scrolling through your list of happiness, my own slide show started in my brain and I have not been able to stop smiling yet. (even on this bleak, grey, wet, cold winters day)
Thanks for the inspiring post--I need to read something like this at least every other day. There are really SO many things in life to appreciate if we take the time to stop and look for them.
I swear as the little guys get older MaMa gets more worked up. I always imagined that once my 3rd boy grew a bit out of the baby sage life would get easier for me. not so much. the energy and chaos just seems to grow with time, but I am certain of one thing, just as you said. its taking those moments o sit back and reflect on how wonderful of a job we have to raise boys and theres nothing that brings more joy to a Mothers heart then being a stay at home mommy and being the ones the boys call out too for every cry and laugh. its amazing. very sweet post i loe it. im so glad you were ble to regroup and take time out to reflect and gain strength again. now back into the game right? Love ya

I have had a rough couple of weeks days.
I won't list all the stupid girlie details...but let just say there have been one too many of the following--
fat daysshutting myself in the bathroom, crying on the toilet...no not while actually "going"times I yelled at my boysgetting my feelings hurtgiving myself an ulcer about coming up with something "cool" for my blogeating ice cream for dinner *see item #1
So I am sure you get the point.
Last night after putting my sweet little men in bed I walked into our room and our computer was in the sleep mode. SO, you might be thinking to yourself, what has this got to do with anything?? Well our sleep mode does a slide show, randomly, of every single picture on our hard drive, if you know me, you know that is A LOT.
The first picture was one of me and my Oldest Little Man when he was about 18 months. Geez I looked pretty blissfully happy. Not to mention, younger, fresher, more awake...haha.
I just sat there mesmerized as picture after picture came up. The longer I sat and the more pictures I saw, the more things I remembered. The longer I sat there, the bigger my smile got.
I soon thought to myself why the cryface lately, I have got so much to be happy about.
SO I am going to write it all down. I am going to put a copy of it on my fridge, a copy of it by my computer, and a copy in the bathroom...kidding!
Since pictures led to my epiphany, I wanted to share a few of my HAPPINESS list items in pictures.
-My first born. The first little man that officially made me a momma.

Seeing him go from a wee one to this...

a smart, intelligent, insightful, sensitive boy.
-My second born. The complete and utter joy that the simplest things can give him...

like a banana...okay or ANY food, or...

running. Always running. Outside. Inside. Probably in his sleep.
-My smallest one. Being LOVED so much he never wants me out of his sight/reach (unless Dad is there OF COURSE). He expresses his feelings so easily...

was a GOOD little man...

and is now a GREAT man, a loving husband, and the best father.
These are just a few of the many HAPPY things making my list, a list I hope I will take time to add to daily.
My advice...
Some days are dreary, full of laundry, poopy bums, bad hair, no showers, m&m's for breakfast, 3 hours of sleep, someone not liking you and those days are inevitable...
It is how we get through them and why we get through them that makes the difference. It is the rainbow after the storm...heck it is the rainbow AND the pot of gold. I hope you take some time and think about your rainbow and pot of gold...what's on your HAPPINESS list?

I totally understand. I've had more than my share of those days too this summer, but so much to be thankful for as well. Great reminder!
