2 questions:
1. Do you usually do a rinse, just water, pass over the floor after this?
2. Can you use this on wood or just tile?

I do not do a rinse, it dries fairly nicely.

I have no idea about hard wood, but laminate and tile should be fine.

I tried this on my dark tile floors and YUCK - white film and streaks everywhere. Even rinsed it with vinegar and water, and the yuck is still there. Later I learned that the soda and vinegar (base and acid) cancel each other out (duh) and just leave useless gunk on your floor. Sorry, did NOT work for me. Back to good ol' vinegar, water, & some essential oils. :D
