At first I was confused about the rear-facing figures, until I realized you modeled each base to represent the skirmishers circling about to fire their missiles. Once I realized that I thought, "Brilliant!". Very nicely done. You took a chance with the basing and I think it paid off.

Hi Hetairoi, I think they are the same size as Impetus bases (on the front double-width elements, at least). But I use them with Command and Colors boardgame rules.

Hi Allan, yes you hit the nail on the head!

I can use two of the double and two of the single bases to represent a Cantabrian cirle, with the riders coming forward, riding across the front of the enemy (with their shields towards them) chucking javelins, then turning away and coming around again. I'm doing something very similar with my Hun horse archers in another army.

I think today's wider bases are much better for light cavalry!
