Yes, the white shields are the Aventine late Etruscans, and the red the Republican Romans. Personally, I've only managed to find time to paint one Republican, so far. :-(
Lovely. We have just spent this evening setting up our Romans in advance on the big sand table, and it really does begin to come together when you finally see them en masse. And our project isn't half so complex as yours!
They look great! The ratio of Hastati/Princeps to Triarii and Velites looks correct in this force. I'm unsure why you'd add more, unless you're going by figure and not by base, in which case I understand the addition of more velites. Nice looking force.
Love your work Mate. We played a Zama game two years ago but the figures were not as nice as yours. Love to see the battle.

Aventine-Keith has just sent me this picture of the 2 legions (less 4 units of velites, not shown, which I've done) that he has painted for the Zama game. Romans left, allies right. They represent just under 1/3 of the Roman army for the game; can't wait to see them "in the lead"! Not long to go, now...

Impressive! Are both legions made with aventine miniatures?

Wish I could be there...

Cool!! That's basically the size of the entire Repo Roman legionary force I have planned. Looks very impressive!!

Ah, Allen, but we are going by figure ratio! Anyhow the Romans need the velites to stop all the nellies.
Paul, we'll photograph the game to death.
