Yes, the white shields are the Aventine late Etruscans, and the red the Republican Romans. Personally, I've only managed to find time to paint one Republican, so far. :-(

Lovely. We have just spent this evening setting up our Romans in advance on the big sand table, and it really does begin to come together when you finally see them en masse. And our project isn't half so complex as yours!

They look great! The ratio of Hastati/Princeps to Triarii and Velites looks correct in this force. I'm unsure why you'd add more, unless you're going by figure and not by base, in which case I understand the addition of more velites. Nice looking force.
