I read the first one and half volumes recently. He explains his omission of Asia around page 371 of the first volume

I'm trying to do some research as I have a powerpoint presentation to do about Michael Mann. What are the key points that I should be looking for/ what is important to note about him? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can't seem to find out much information about him online...
