Alcohol overindulgence may in fact aid in helping a person do something entirely stupid and sleep with another mans wife - once. The 18 month affair/ alcohol issue is ridiculous- unless of course the alleged drinker never came off his alcohol high for the entire 540 day period. By the way, if the mayor was drunk for this time frame, how much damage did he really do? I am concerned that he may have been supportive the same-sex marriage deal, and when sober might regret this action. DUI? What if wore an adult diaper while engaging in his work so he didn't have to stop? I don't know, I just thought I would ask.

I swear...what in the world does alcohol abuse have to do with marital infidelity? Drinking too much doesn't make you cheat with your best friend's wife any more than it makes you a molestor of congressional pages. I don't care how much you drink, if you aren't a gay child molestor already, you won't turn into one whenever you drink....and you don't have 18month affairs with your best friend's wife.
It's almost as if just being a cheater isn't enough for liberals, you have to have some other dramatic life-failure, that explains your cheating, for them to feel like you can be rehabilitated. Because liberals love rehab stories...it facilitates their smug superiority.
What is it about our sick society that we love watching the high and mighty groveling in their own miserable failures?
