Ed: Unfortunately I am becoming convinced that neither are in the legislative business, and unless the churches step up and make some morality claims, this country will continue its moral decay.

It starts with TV and Movies. I happened to be able to glance at 2 shows last week on vacation. Mary Tyler Moore and Nip/Tuck. In the episodes I saw, I gleaned that in the 60's TV still had adults fully dressed in bedclothes in bedroom scenes( not attempting to be funny by that word choice), but now Dr. Troy and his menagerie of bedmates are shown commpletely undressed and are allowed to very accurately portray intimate acts for all to see. It took me by surprise to see the good Doctor making his house call on, not 1, but 2 women. while not trying to be prudish, I hope that our society will stop the flow of indecent programing and try to get our next generation some decent role models. Men and women who have morals and scruples, unlike the Hollywood crowd of today who regularly swap or trade partners, flaunting for all to see their latest conquest.
Wher is Bonzo when we need him?

Cedric: I will not stoop to your level and resort to racial or sexual derisions. I feel sorry for you, since it is apparent that the only life you have is to sit by your computer, dictionary in hand, sending out derogatory comments. I will always respect the rights that America affords all people - Free speech being one of those. I read your diatribes as they are written, and have tried to discern rational and sane logic, even if it your mindset is oposite to my thoughts. However, I feel it is time to write you off as a lunatic.

I find this site to be fun and educational. I, however, do not find your usage of sexual and racial slurs as acceptable. Topics covered here are always slanted from Ed's opinion (His Right It's His Column), and are sometimes controversial. I however feel that mostly the bloggers stay out of the gutter. You tend to choose to try to drag this into the mire and muck. If this is to continue,I for 1 would just appreciate that you slink off back to the rock you crawled out from under.

Well said Reid, well said!

Ed seems to encourage thoughtful, reason-based dissent. Cedric's inane meanderings generally do not qualify.

Cedric should try taking the high road for a change...he'll find the reading audience much more receptive to his points of view.
