Looks lovely Katie, one of my favourite things to do is to preserve. Your jelly is such a pretty colour.

Are you sure they are not crab apples? Rather than tiny apples?

Gorgeous gorgeous colour...

My mum has always made apple jelly and plum ones too and I love them, like your combined one!

Hi Helen,

The apple variety is called Beauty of Bath. They are not comercially grown anymore as they are too small. They are meant to be medium sized according to accounts online, but ours have always been on the small side :)

How lovely to grow your own fruit to put in your own jam, I am very envious of you right about now. I too love this colour of this jam, perfect for afternoon tea on scones ;0)

I wish I had that problem of having to get rid of all my home grown apples... :) I can barely keep a few herbs alive in my garden.lol... Having said that; your jelly looks absolutely gorgeous. Love the color!

Wow, beautifully clear jelly, and such a pretty colour too! I love making jelly and really ought to invest in the whole jelly straining contraption instead of trying to just use the jelly bag! I can just imagine how much you're enjoying this on toast, I bet it would make a great glaze for fruit tarts too.

Plum jam and apple jelly are two of my favorite spreads for toast. This is such a pretty and bright combination- I bet it was delicious.

Hi, Lovely photographs. They really show how pretty this preserve is. I just came across your blog whilst doing a search for my own! I have a recipe for a similar jelly with a different mix of ingredients.
