"Further Fun with the Food Dehydrator"

I like to dehydrate herbs in mine and will do it until they are crisp then store them carefully so that they don't get crushed. Also, I dry celery (leaves and stems) and then put it through the blender to produce a rough powder. It goes really well in bolognaise or other savoury dishes. I do the same with mushrooms. Strawberries dried till crisp, cherries (pitted and halved), and bananas. Yum! Good luck, it is good fun experimenting

It's interesting how the results can't be predicted - the blueberries looked the same and I would've expected them to completely dry out!

Hi sweet girl! Haven't been by in awhile and just wanted to say hi!

We used to have a food dehydrator and my brother always liked making beef jerky. I know you're a vegetarian and won't be making that, but we used to make banana chips too. I wonder how grapes or strawberries would turn out?
