wow you are organised - I made a great fruit cake with chocolate chunks a year or two ago that I loved - the satsuma in your fruitcake sounds like a nice twist too - will look forward to seeing how you design your cake - love seeing it each year

Gosh, that really is being super organised Katie. Love your ginger twist. I haven't made a Christmas cake for a few years now as I'm the only one that seems to eat it. Haven't decided if I will or not this year, but if I do, I think I shall take yours as inspiration and add lots of ginger.

I remember the lovely cake you posted last year. Such a wonderful tradition! I used to bake a lot of different cookies, but now I just bake the one my daughter asks for...Santa's Whiskers, a butter cookie with candied cherries, almond extract, and pecans, with a fringe of coconut (the whiskers) around the edges.
