We made this for our Fresh Grom The Oven challenge last month and it was ahuge success. The recipe produces a wonderfully tasty bread and its so easy too. I love that I can start it and then walk away and forget about it until the next day and then just bung it in the oven. My kind of cooking lol

This looks really good. It's an interesting concept being baked in a casserole - I've heard several good reports of this recipe now.

I keep intending to try this but still haven't - however I love your instructions - they make it seem quite doable - and the bread looks superb

I am another one who bakes just this bread when I want a crusty, holey, rustic loaf. And it is so beautifully easy!
Cheers!

What a gorgeous looking loaf - I'd be happy just to sit eating it with some good butter!

I love no knead bread. I made a version last year with rosemary and lemon that my husband asks for all the time!

You are right; I would never have thought of baking a bread in a casserole but this looks absolutely perfect! That photo where you pull a little of the dough out says it all and that finished bread looks like a good bread should look. I am sooo gonna try this too!

Wow - I glanced over your blog a few days ago and thought you were writing about a great bread you'd bought somewhere. It was only today when I read the post that I realised you made this at home. It looks fantastic - just how bread should be!

I love Casserole breads cause they are good yeast breads to make that don't involve kneading. With casserole breads you make a wet dough that can be mixed with an electric mixer and they are baked in casserole dishes.
