Being a big tennis nut, I remember Renee Richards well and I saw the movie. She paid a price for coming out and I hope she knows it did help many Trans people. I'm glad she has a good relationship with her son.
Thanks for the heads up on her new book.

Echoing Jackie's comments, thanks for the heads up about the book. Her history echoes in many ways the histories of many other transgender people.

It is my prayer that she can move beyond her regrets and discover the joy available to her right now.

Being transgender can be tough. We've all been hurt in some ways. But we can either wallow in regret, or embrace the new life we've created. And for those we've lost (ex-spouses, children, parents, siblings, etc.) we can release them with love to the Universe/God, trusting that they will find joy in their own journeys.

May we all be free from suffering and the root of suffering. May we all enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Peace,
Dharmashanti
