Elvis was a better singer than Sinatra, in my opinion. Especially at this stage. Franks peak was the albums Only the Lonely and In The Wee Small Hours, which were done around the mid-50's.
I have most of the greatest hits compilations, my fav song is "Stranger in the Nights"....it was '60, obviously it wasn't the Frank of the War years but he still had it in my opinion there.

AOW, Sinatra didn't like rock n roll and had made derogatory remarks about Elvis, prior to this, is my understanding.
You are right, though....
Two giants of the music/entertainment world, they don't produce men like these anymore.
