The article made two other points worth noting: Countries with strong traditions of civil rights (ban on capital punishment, eg)were less apt to support torture. England and Spain are examples, impressive since you might expect the terrorist attacks they experienced would have moved them toward the pro-torture camp.
America's relatively high support of torture is presumably explained by 9-11, but America's weak civil rights tradition and Republican long tradition of fear-mongering, not only terrorism but on crime, have something to do with it.

What is this like? It is like Israel nuking 100,000 Sephardim (Arabic Jews) children in 1951 and then shortly thereafter, white-skinned people around the world decided to drastically cut down on their birthrates.

Promoting religious intolerance and torture is folly for Jews, like a drunk who spikes a woman's drink to rape her and then wakes up shoeless in the local skid row 8 hours later.

(You know, it's fun being Jesus for a morning! I can see why that appeals to a lot of mentally-ill people.)

That is 'israel' for you. A baseless, useless, leech of a country that gets off on torture.

Did someone mention Jesus?

Ah, those poor, pathetic, sad, deluded 'christian' zionists. What will those sick puppies do when they find out their torture godlets will never accept Jesus as their Saviour.

I sure hope all those billions of bible belt cash are refundable. Hope the Knesset will do the honorable thing and return the money back to the deluded and naive.

But 'israel' probably won't. Nah. They need the dough to keep up their daily routine of tortures of foreign reporters, peace activists, israeli refusniks, and the thousands of Palestinian and Lebanese men, women, and children imprisoned illegally in its seedy dungeons.

Sorry, you dumb, stupid, 'Christian' Zionists: Instead of getting conversions from your atheist-fake jew-God's 'chosen'.....

You will get a bunch of apes enjoying blood-letting and skin peeling.

I guess a couple billion annually to 'israel' doesn't go as far as it used to.
