There's an error in your post. Lalla Salma certainly isn't the first female member of the Royal Family to get ample press coverage in Morocco - Lalla Amina, Lalla Aïcha, Lalla Malika (sisters of the late Hassan II), Lalla Asmaa, Lalla Hasna, Lalla Meriem (sisters of King Mohammed VI) and Lalla Soukaïna (daughter of Lalla Meriem) have all gotten a large press coverage previously, as early as the 1940's. The new and revolutionary thing in Moroccan Royal protocol has been the fact that the King's wife, Lalla Salma, has had press coverage, a phenomenon unheard of previously.
