So I don't get it. Yesterday did he shoot him or taze him with his cane? Things do not look good for poor Julie. Is Kingpin gonna catch him or let him fall on his head? How many more days is he going to torture the poor bastard?
Was not! I said "I have a feeling the cane will be involved," and it was. Which isn't to say I'm not a little disappointed.
Actually, my first title for today was "I guess that was a taser cane."
I'm pretty amused at the toned-down Kingpin wrath. After all his panels of leering menace he's basically deploying schoolyard bully punishment. I hope he dangles Julie's gun just out of reach and makes him hit himself.
When we found out the tough henchman was Punch, I wondered if there would be a play on Punch and Judy, but "Julie" was a surprise.
Kingpin's schoolyard bullying fits snugly with the 12 year old boy mentality that permeates this comic strip. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow! Hopefully more Kingpin antics..
