I'd be interested to check this out if it's a drama; the expected approach would be comedy, a la the live action The Tick.
There's a very, very good comic called Powers about the branch of a homicide department that handles superhero-related cases. This could be a good untapped market.
Syfy seems to pour on the cheese. It's just so disappointing when they present a good concept then muck it up.

Syfy is going meta with Bob Cooper's Landscape Entertainment and veteran drama scribe Michael Chernuchin. The cabler is developing a drama series, "Metadocs," about a secretive wing of a large urban hospital that treats injured superheroes. Project is based on a comicbook published by Antarctic Press.
