Sigh. I recall there being soaps watched in our house, and much fighting over the TV as a result. And I recall realizing that my sister's (not DCD but another one) love of serialized nonsensery was not much different than my own love of comics.

Except that soaps totally SUCK, of course. Bleah, yuck.

I like KISS, professional wrestling and Archie Comics. And yet I still feel the right to look down on people who watch soaps with complete and utter contempt.

It was either this or General Hospital that I despised the most, because my afternoon babysitter would make me sit through this mindless tripe until 2:30, when Star Blazers finally came on. I think I hated McHale's Navy for the same reason.

It was a lot like going to church, where you marvel at the elastic nature of time, and how one simple hour can stretch on into infinity.

However, they've replaced a 54-year-old show that was at least written and acted (albeit moronically), with yet another four yapping dingbats like The View, talking about nothing, and bringing nothing. With a stupider title.

For myself, I didn't think you could take the soap opera audience and make them dumber, but they're obviously going to.

Yet another sign of the coming apocalypse.

(sigh) I'm gonna go watch the Star Force blow some shit up with The Big Gun until I feel better.
