by the middle of the second story synopsis, i'd forgotten that you gave this movie one star. i thought, "oh hey, that sounds good...wait. no, i forgot. jpx is saying it actually sucks."
i can't decide which is more pompous: making a shitty feature length movie, or using an anthology form to allow multiple people to contribute shit to a single movie.
In the wraparound story for Screamtime two jerks steal some movies from a video store and then head to some girl’s house to watch them on her top-loader VCR. It should be noted that she is frequently naked. Each video they watch happens to be a story in this (crappy) anthology movie.
In “Killer Punch” a local old fart, who puts on Punch and Judy puppet shows for children, is harassed by teenagers until he can’t take it anymore. With the aid of his puppets he begins killing the teens.
In “Scream House” a young couple move into a new house and the wife keeps seeing people in her yard and has visions of people being brutally murdered. Her husband, who is initially sympathetic, does not see the people nor share her visions and he becomes increasingly annoyed with her. After hiring a medium who informs him that his wife is nuts, his wife has a breakdown and he reluctantly sells their house. [SPOILER AHEAD] As they leave we see a new family moving in, the very family the wife was having visions of, which we now realize were premonitions.
In “Garden of Blood” a jerk thug breaks into a home but gets his comeuppance when he encounters a murderous garden gnome (?)
Low budget in every manner possible Screamtime plays more like 3 bad episodes of Tales From the Dark Side than a full length motion picture. Every character is unlikable, every twist is predictable and every story is boring.

Are you on a quest to find the worst anthology film ever made? I never heard of this one and I can only guess why that is.

What I can't believe is that Punch puppet drawing blood. Does it even weigh a whole pound?
