Ghost Rider blazed to the top of a hot box-office weekend with $44.5 million over three days, according to studio estimates. It could be the biggest Presidents Day weekend ever, once final figures for the four days are released Tuesday. Sony estimates that Ghost, Nicolas Cage's biggest opening, could take in $51 million through today, giving it the film record for Presidents Day weekend. "The sheer diversity of new titles in theaters made it a something-for-everyone kind of weekend," said Cynthia Littleton, editor of The Hollywood Reporter. The PG-rated family film Bridge to Terabithia took in $22.1 million, about 20% higher than expected. Eddie Murphy's Norbit was third in its second weekend with $16.8 million. The romantic comedies Music and Lyrics, fourth with $14 million, and Daddy's Little Girls, fifth with $12.1 million, didn't have moviegoers swooning, despite the Valentine's timing. Adult-oriented Breach, about turncoat spy Robert Hanssen, outdid estimates with $10.4 million for sixth.

Terebithia made my roommate's girlfriend cry.
How sad that Nicholas Cage's biggest opening is this turkey. How much sadder that I may actually go see it.
Is it me or is there just nothing worth seeing out right now? I feel like I haven't been amped about a currently-out flick in months.

Notes on a Scandal is definitely worth your time.
Terabithia is good too.
