From cinemablend, William H. Macy has been all over the Sundance Film Festival. The team we sent to review Choke bumped into him in the audience and reports that he’s an incredibly nice guy. I on the other hand saw him in a bathroom washing his hands. It was a rather surreal experience, the kind where you aren’t really sure if you just saw what you saw until after you’re already in the bathroom stall and then it would be kind of creepy to poke your head back out and peer over at the guy standing by the sink. Now though, I kind of wish I had since perhaps I could have asked him what ComingSoon asked him.

They cornered Macy promoting The Deal and asked him what’s up with a sequel to Wild Hogs, the biggest comedy of 2007. Macy’s answer: Wild Hogs 2 is happening. He says “We're talking. Apparently Dudley, the character I play, is going to get married to Marissa Tomei and the boys try to take him out on one last trip. I worry for Dudley.”

I know it’s fashionable for film journalists to sneer at Wild Hogs and anyone who likes it, but really, it’s just a big, stupid, comedy. There’s nothing wrong with the kind of light, goofy entertainment it provided and audiences really seemed to like it. It’s not an evil movie, just not a great one. If there’s a sequel, it’s going to be huge, and people are going to love it. Film critics may not, but then they aren’t really people are they?
