Ed Norton's a great actor, but my gut tells me we're better off with the faster, leaner Hulk movie. Even if this longer, more-detailed version is the way to go (and perhaps the dvd release will reveal this), after the Ang Lee disaster I can't imagine Marvel taking that gamble. We already got the overbearing psychological Hulk study, we really don't need another one.

I don't know, natch, if that's the subject matter of Norton's version, but it's a fairly educated guess. Maybe it's because I've read a ton of comic books, but too much time spent on the dual nature of superheroes is boooring.

And actors always want there to be more character investigation, because it's the part of the movie they have the most hand in. Any actor who's ever been edited out of a movie will gripe about how that aspect of the story got lost without bothering to note whether the story is better off -- and I can't blame them. Every time I spend a bunch of time building a model and then it winds up just off camera, it bums me out.
