From worstpreviews, "Shutter Island," the Martin Scorsese film based on Dennis Lehane's best-selling novel, has changed its name, reports The Boston Herald.

The 1950s-era film noir, which will start shooting in Massachusetts this spring, is now called "Ashecliffe." The new title refers to the name of the mental institution where much of the action takes place.

However, in screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis' script, there's lots of flashbacks to a World War II concentration camp. Hence, the casting call on January 26th for background extras to play malnourished camp prisoners and military or law-enforcement types to portray the guards.

Also, there's a need for extras to play doctors, nurses and patients at Ashecliffe, according to Grant Wilfley Casting, which has opened a Boston office just for this film. The open call will be held from 10am to 4pm in Metcalf Hall at Boston University's Sherman Union.

In the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio plays US Marshal Teddy Daniels, who is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
