I believe your analysis is correct, you are the Comic Book Guy, but your intimated conclusion is incorrect, that this is somehow an undesirable quality/role.
First of all, we're all Comic Book Guy, you're just really, really good at being him (yes, I'm jealous on a daily basis, of all of you, actually); second of all, thank God you're Comic Book Guy! You have made this blog so diverting that I've been really distracted at work recently. As my patients discuss tragedy all I can think of is, "Did people comment on Jordan's latest post?"
It's great, and my favorite part is the "T" which looks like a "Spy vs. Spy" title letter. And I mean that in the nicest possible way because nobody did "ominous; menacing" like Antonio Prohias.
You know what I mean? Those scary cityscapes; particularly in the MAD paperbacks (not the inferior stip-cartoons in the magazine, where it's all jammed on one page).
New logo looks great, Johnny Five-Letters. I'm also digging the new configuration for the archived posts.

[Image]Having just added four really long comments to my already-overbearing argument about LOST, I have to finally face the truth about myself: I am Comic Book Guy. It's not a pleasant realization but then life is filled with moments of searing, unforgiving self-knowledge like this one. I must learn to live with the pain, and all of you must apparently live with my overwhelming need to indulge in endlessly didactic, smug nerd lectures that go on forever. The first step in dealing with any unpleasant truth is to face it; I know that now.

Thanks everyone, for the compliments on the logo. The best part is, I only needed to make five letters for a 10 letter word!
