What's with the frenetic texturing of the Spider-Man outfits? The other movies did it too and it seems like this one is just trying to push it further. Why? What's the significance?
I still think Donald Glover would have been the better choice.

Thank goodness they didn't chose Donald Glover for Peter Parker's role. That'd be as bad as the what DC did the New52 counterpart of Wally West.

From wwtdd, Sony has released a picture of Andrew Garfield as the new Peter Parker in the reboot of Spider-Man (which should be done filming in a few weeks but doesn’t come out until July 3rd, 2012), and apparently part of the storys re-imagining is to have him truly not give a fuck if anyone knows his secret identity. The movie might as well just be called Peter Parker. Christ, does it have his name on the back too.

I like that they went with a thinner guy though. Spidey was looking a bit puffy by part 3.
