I know that these films polarize people but I really dig them. I thought the third one was the best of the bunch. My only problem with them is that there is no repeat value in them for me. Once you know where the “scares” are the films become somewhat boring. For some reason I’m able to watch almost any horror movie more than once with some notable exceptions (e.g. Martyrs) but not the Paranormal series.
It's a strange series. Parts 2 & 3 were both prequels. And, given the unanswered questions of PA3, I assumed PA4 would be another prequel. It looks like this is finally a sequel to PA 1.
I'll still go see it. I'm totally sold on the mythology behind the series that started with PA2, then expanded with PA3. I just hope that the story ontinues to build on the established mythology, rather than build just another scenario of creepy scares.
