Awesome vid. I swear it's like with the Brangelina kids: the cool kid with the cool t-shirt, who is not old enough to purchase his own clothes, so that the cool clothes reflect the parental coolness as well as the kid's coolness. Anyway, cool!
Can someone explain to me why the family in this book is so infuriatingly stupid and discouraging to their child? Do they just not know how carrots grow or are they masochists? I mean, seriously, why do they keep telling the kid that basic gardening techniques are some kinda crazy dream?
Jordan, that's pretty much what I thought. It's supposed to be a book about faith, but I think it's a book that warns kids that most people are idiots.

This doesn't really have anything to do with Thanksgiving, except that the moms of these two kids were downstairs making pies. Here's what Zack is reading (The first line I didn't catch; the movie starts on the second page):
A little boy planted a carrot seed (missed) His mother said, "I'm afraid it won't come up." His father said, "I'm afraid it won't come up." And his big brother said, "It won't come up." Every day the little boy pulled up the weeds around the seed and sprinkled the ground with water. But nothing came up. And nothing came up. Everyone kept saying it wouldn't come up. But he still pulled up the weeds around it every day and sprinkled the ground with water. And then, one day, a carrot came up just as the little boy had known it would.
"Happy Thanksgiving everybody!"

To answer your question Re:HP7, Octo, it ends after the fight @ Malfoys. They get to Shell Cottage and bury Dobby. *sob*

Julie, it preps the kid for real life, wherein one is surrounded by people who refuse to see the logic behind the simplest beneficial actions.
