He's perfect, beautiful, wonderful!! Love the pics, and your sentiments - as always - so eloquently put.

Sending all my love to you three.

I was so busy updating the blog I didn't notice you posted, Octo, if I had known I wouldn't have posted anything today - now your big news is being smothered by geek news!

Awesome post and wonderful pictures! Isn't it like 4:45am right now? Zack looks perfect and Julie looks tired - nice work guys!

Fantastic recap! He looks awesomely big and like he could already do something cool with Legos. Can't wait to meet him in a month. Congrats to both of you guys, really.

this is all such awesome news. thanks for posting the pics so quickly. zack sounds like a wonderful kid right out of the gate. he looks way perkier and happier and smarter than most newborns, and needless to say gorgeous. even the pooping sounds precocious. we can expect him to post on the blog in what, a couple of years? :)

That's funny, AC, Ben is dying for a Horrorthon tee-shirt ever since he saw mine. He wants to get one so he can wear it to school. I was like, "Uh, no Ben, you're not getting a Horrorthon tee-shirt."

I think of E.T. every time I see that picture of Octo in the scrubs. I kept my scrubs, by the way, they're actually quite comfortable.

Well, I picked the perfect day to have my first visit to Horrorthon! Jeff, congratulations - he's beautiful! You will just be the BEST dad! I'll come back after you've gotten some sleep.

-From Carolyn. Jules friend. The other Jules. You know, your sister Julie's friend Carolyn from childhood. Geez, that is too hard to explain.

Holy shit, man! Amazing, just amazing.

Congratulations!

Other friends of mine have had kids but I've always gotten a blasé summary much later; never the blow-by-blow in this excellent fashion.

(Apologies for using "blow-by-blow," which seems wrong somehow, but I can't think of another colloquialism fast enough and I want to post this. The "details"? The "information"? The "nitty-gritty"? Ugh. Anyway congratulations!)

thank god we don't have to pretend we think he's cute. with all the talk of cranial-gigantism, i thought i was going to have to resort to, "oh, what cute fingers," as a compliment.

on behalf of the bay area contingent that doesn't include mr. pants who can speak for himelf i say, "ohbeautibabifulyadojusrlovabzatlovckalYAlewhenY!ecanhweivismit?" sorry, everyone's talking at once.

all my love to father, mother and child.
