I love that character but I never saw the last one, and it's low on my list of catch-ups. I recall they were talking about working Captain Nemo and the Nautilus into the 4th one and then they changed their minds. I guess I never got over it.
I disagree with you about the first one; one of the things I like about it the most is how well it spools out a pretty damn convoluted (and long) plot. It's exactly what I thought 2 and 3 failed at.

I haven't seen the last two. While I enjoyed the first 2 I thought they were both overlong.
