Exceptional and hilarious review, Jordon! Where have you been all month? Next year YOU WILL participate in Horrorthon 07.

Thanks, man. What are you doing up at this hour?

(It's "Jordan" with an "A," by the way)

Oops, sorry about the spelling!

It's a terrific review and I hope you get inspired to do more in the future.

By the way, my work computer time is off by about 2 hours so while it might look like I have major dedication to Horrorthon, it's misleading.

Omigod, that review is a riot! My favorite is "These monsters posssess the amazing ability to cut the actual film of the episode itself" tied with the caption "Koenig has too much 'A.'"

I saw this episode -- sorry, I mean movie -- recently. It's amazing how much Lovecraft-level hideousness is attributed to the creatures when they're clearly big plastic bags, clear tubes of goo, and couple of blinking lights in their midsections. The best part is when Maya morphs into one so she can spy on them, and they get suspicious and chase after her. Really it's "chase" after her, since the shambling pace of the critters provides the slowest chase scene ever.

Good stuff! Welcome aboard.

JPX, what are you trying with this "it might look like I have major dedication to Horrorthon" jazz? You're fooling nobody.

Thank you sir.

I was afraid I was too-obviously ripping off MST3K with the "too much 'A'" joke, but I couldn't resist.

Believe it or not there's a "cutting room floor" for this review: I had more of their unintentionally hilarious technology closeups, where you see what's wrong with the props. There's one with the crashed Eagle visible on a standard Space: 1999 9-inch black-and-white monitor, with press-on type that says "Visual One" -- I was going to say, "Helena relies on her trusty 'Visual One' to get the lowdown on the Eagle's condition" or some such.

I'm so glad you saw it recently, Octo! It really is amazing. I love how they phaser Koenig because, to them, it looks like he's dramatically uplit and menacing them with his hands. (My first image in my review.)

I would never pick on Year One episodes this way, obviously. (I would use a different approach.)

thonfan,

Duly noted. I can't rise above my station in life as "comic relief," however.
