Even more ruinous: the Underworld director is doing Die Hard 4? Hoo boy. There's going to be a lot of scenes of Bruce Willis bursting through double doors and angrily striding past lounging goths.
And Stallone calls Soldier of Fortune magazine to find out about current events? Sigh. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I'm sad about Die Hard because I like that franchise. I'm still not a huge fan of T2 because of Eddie. With that director we're also sure to see long shootouts that somehow seem boring.
I think you're too hard on T2; Eddie pulls off most of those scenes pretty well, the really annoying parts are more the script's fault.

[Image]As I noted in the Pulse post below, there's this really annoying trend whereby studio heads are insisting on the inclusion of "young, hot, hip" actors in film franchises in order to bring in the coveted teen set (e.g., think AVP). Yes, I understand that it's just good for business but it's still annoying. Below are two additional examples. I can already predict that Die Hard 4 and Rambo 4 are going to suck. From Darkhorizons,
