We were at Red Rock canyon yesterday! There were some clouds in the sky and by noon, we could see rain coming down in the distance! It was a chilly 50 degrees! The scenic drive was VERY crowded by noon, so plan on getting there EARLY before the crowds!

We also drove out to the state park, Spring Mountain Ranch, which is $9.00 to enter. You park your car and follow a trail up on top of a little cliff, then down to the ranch pond, and then through the ranch. THAT was well worth the $9.00. I think your kids would enjoy that more than Red Rock canyon.

Enjoy!

Thanks Cheryl Ann! We managed to see some of Spring Mountain Ranch too, and that is a fun place. Glad you're having such a good trip!

I watched season 1 episode 1 of "How the States Got Their Shapes" a while back. One of the segments was about Lake Mead and the marina owner, Gail Kaiser. Very interesting!
