First: D2R2. You'll be fine on your MTB w/ slicks, that's what I've ridden in the past. It's tough but if youre in decent condition which it sounds like you are then you'll do fine. The weather has a lot to do with it, if it's hot and muggy like today good luck. I'll be there doing the 100k, enough to tire you out and get back to the food and beer before the others.

Second, Hodges Village is a fun race. Very fast in spots (dirt roads) and some great singletrack. Stepping up to Cat 2 means no letup and with the later start time its gonna be warmer, so hydrate well.

Well, that's encouraging in that "if you like activities that make you puke, you'll be fine, however, if you don't, you'll spend a lot of time puking" way. Luckily, puking is my middle name!

I am doing my own D2R2 with NEMBA in Litchfield county. 50+ miles, kind of a pre-Hartford Cross training ride.

Hey remember, if you are not puking you are not trying hard enough!

The pix looks terrific, although would have loved if you had raised your hands over your head--not Rocky style, maybe just in a "whee" motion. Good job, the BBB loves on
