I always say that there's no better way to regulate banks than from a bicycle - when you regulate from a car, you're moving too fast and you don't see the details; when you regulate while walking, it takes too long to get anywhere.
A bike is also the best place from which to stop people from primarying Kirsten Gillibrand for the same reasons.

Chuck Schumer, a Senator from New York (for whom I have voted, though not recently, what with how I haven't lived there for a while) and a native of my hometown of Brooklyn, has written a lovely little piece for Huffington Post, pointing out that there is no better way to get to know a place (especially Brooklyn) than on a bicycle. Read the nice thing he wrote.
