Minor detail correction: I use (and occasionally abuse) a model 64AW trailer-- not the longest model they sell, but it's the only wide one:

It wasn't cheap, but it has been immensely useful. It has certainly earned its keep.

Surly's "Bill" and "Ted" model trailers look impressive in pictures, but I've yet to see one in person:

I like Surly's hitch design and I like the idea of a welded cromoly frame vs. the bolt-together extruded alloy BAW, as mine has grown a bit twisted over the course of its tenure (I'm not worried about it structurally, it just looks a bit cocked and may need some added gussets in a year or two.)

That said, the large one (Bill), while only one inch shorter than mine, is a few inches narrower, which would DQ it from matching many such past feats as sleeper sofa hauling.

I also prefer the Tuff Wheels on my trailer to spoked wheels, because Tuff Wheels are 1980's awesome.

Thanks for the correction. Fixed the link to point to the 64AW trailer.

I'll have to take a look at those Surly trailers.

I have a bike trailer that is quite awesome. I have not put as much stuff in it as you have, but use it for camping, and certainly for errands such as large grocery trips. My dogs also like to ride to dog park in their crate in it. It's pretty funny actually.

@Cervelo - I tried to take my 2 cats to the vet for shots on said bike trailer. It went poorly, but I did get a good story out of it... Don't put a cat in a cardboard box. Their claws are amazingly effective.
