You are right. They have fewer preconceptions about what to expect. What is interesting is that the little girl in the video had some ideas about what to expect, based on her experience playing children's applications on the iPhone.
Plenty of parents have posted videos of their little children playing with the iPhone, which was on the market before the little girl in the video was born, if she's just 2 and 1/2 years old.
