Two questions: First of all, why do you call that horrid house "a fabulous Dutch ad"? And is it REALLY in Pekin, IL? For the record, I am married to a Dutch man, have visited Holland many times, live in Pekin, and feel rather insulted.

Sorry Michele, It was a mistake that photo was in this post. It is intended to be for July 4th. It's very eclectic Americana-!!

I do hope you checked out the Dutch ad. It should really please you and your husband. Very clever ad.

Yes, the house in question is indeed in Pekin, Illinois. It is down by the river....going south of the water fountain area on a corner.

I have been taking photos of houses all over the world that show true individual 'taste." You know, since you live in Pekin, like the National Historical Registered Herget Mansion. '-'

What a great description for the house. Eclectic American. Please post this early July 4th. I intend to make enough copies to laminate and use them as coasters for my backyard picnic that day.
