If the author was actually present at the Warsaw Ghetto (I have my doubts) it's inconceivable to me that Haaretz would actually publish such horseshit, much less give it credence. If memory serves, Jewish publications are typically the first to jump on and quash what they perceive as "revisionist history" regarding the holocaust.
Perhaps there's a political motive here. Naw - couldn't be that...
