Producer Harvey Weinstein brought us films like Kill Bill; Pulp Fiction; "Scream" movies 1 through 5 - (which Betsy Woodruff of NRO states may have inspired several copycat killings) - Sin City; Gangs of New York; Inglourious Basterds(sic); "U Want Me 2 Kill Him? ;, Django Unchained; Killshot (a film wherein the protagonists prevail, only because they are armed against several murderous thugs); Cop Land; The Road Killers; etc.
So Weinstein is all too happy to use guns and promote uber-violence in "reel life" (quote borrowed from another commenter on another site - I liked it enough to have to use it.)
Meanwhile, one wonders if any of Weinstein's or Streep's gun-toting security guards are NRA members.

If Weinstein wishes to spend millions of dollars on a social engineering
project, all gun owners need do is nothing, except maybe ridicule him
and dare him to. [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report urges someone who presumes to have the power to make us wish we weren’t alive to give it his best shot.
