JLW--as near as I can tell they are saying the lowers are firearms instead of 80%ers so that Ares needs an FFL, which they do not have. See “ex parte application for order" linked to in this column.

District Judge Janis L. Sammartino of the United States District Court, Southern District of California issued an order Friday to prevent Oceanside's gun parts supplier Ares Armor from divesting itself of inventory and records subject to a temporary restraining order the court issued Tuesday. Also included in the order was notice that the TRO did “not restrain lawful criminal proceedings,” as well as a modification of the briefing schedule ordering “the parties [to] fully address all of the facts and circumstances as alleged by one another." Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes an administration presumption that they have authority to forbid supposedly free citizens from possessing a piece of plastic they don’t want to allow us to have. That’s the ridiculous and inevitable result of accepting any exceptions to “shall not be infringed.”

On the few occassions the local ATF puts up a table at a gun show around here I can't help but think being there among "us" should embarrass them.

What is the license issue the ATF is claiming? I don't know how that works.
