Victim's gun, used daily for home defense, loaned to LE for trial day. Still doesn't excuse giving it to the cops loaded, the cops accepting it loaded, people in the court handling it loaded, some badged ninny tossing it on the floor...

The South African Police Service is treating the incident as culpable homicide and is working to find out why the shotgun was entered as evidence while still fully loaded. [More]
The same "service" that had chain-of-custody possession since recovery and brought it loaded into the courtroom...?
