You've probably already read his stuff, but China Meiville works fantasy in some pretty interesting ways - the New Crobuzon trilogy is really interesting, and Kraken, his new one, is pretty neat.
Hiyo, WM: No, have not read China's works, though I have read a review of Kraken, and as you noted it appears interesting. I shall look into adding it to my list as a first foray into CM's fiction. Thanks! :)
