Introduction | Hi! I have a doctoral degree in adult/distance education at the Pennsylvania State University and work as a Graduate Faculty Mentor at Fielding Graduate University. My professional experience includes being a visiting research faculty t at NASA, a pioneer in the development of the Global Distance (now called "Development") Learning Network at the World Bank and being part of the development team of the regional distance learning network at Inter-American Development Bank. I have taught at Athabasca University, the University of Maryland University College and being a regional consultant for ICT usage by government officials and citizens od 17,000 municipalities in LAC through ICMA/USAID. I have has vast experience as international consultant in Europe and Latin America, and have been the Program Director of the Masters of Distance Education at University of Maryland University College in a binational program associated to the University of Oldenburg. Presently, I teach in immersive environments (Second Life) and do research on competency based curriculum in Latin America. |
