| Introduction | I recently graduated with degrees in English and Italian literature. While attending college in Baltimore, Maryland, I developed an interest in community health and the role of feminist thought in shaping medical discourse. Wanting to be an active participant, I have begun coursework to become a nurse, with the hope of eventually practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife and community health activist.
