My work consists of postcards that I manipulate and shape to accentuate a visual idea. I like repetition and I enjoy creating refracted images by layering multiple postcards on top of one another, shaping each layer sometimes according to angles within the picture, sometimes by introducing a familiar color. In my older work, I actually sent my pieces through the mail (see titles for the recipient names). In my most recent project - Winter 2015 - I am trying my hand at showcasing each piece within a floating glass frame. |
