Introduction Weird animals like me. I have had in my bedroom: a bat, a foot long Scolopendromorph centipede (in my pillowcase, no less), a flying squirrel, numerous lizards and lizard tails (the cats had the rest), and hermit crabs. There have been, of course, invited guests, most notably Empress Cixi, my pet turkey (R.I.P.), and my husband. I love, like any good girl: my husband, roses, baths, novels. I hate, again like any good girl: communist apologists, religious hypocrites (I have no problem with nuns and missionaries, and a different kind of problem with the mujahideen), strangers who try to talk to me on the street, men who are not gallant, and, of course, anyone who has ever hurt or been rude to my husband.
