Introduction | I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2006. I used to live a fairly active life and worked long hours. My life has changed so much that sometimes I don't recognize myself any longer. This diseases takes a tremendous toll on my physical well-being as well as my emotional state. I have my bad days, but I refuse to let it rule my life. I can't do all of the things I used to be able to do. I can no longer plan things ahead of time like I used to because I never know how I'll be feeling and may have to cancel. I have lost friends and have become distant from family because of this disease. Then again I have gained some very wonderful friends also. I know it sounds odd, but in many ways having RA has made me a better person. This blog will be about my personal journeys with RA. My endless search for happiness and peace in my life. My goal to make other peoples' lives better, even if it's just small things... |
