| Introduction | Born and raised in Winnipeg, I'm a proud resident of the West End. I believe that every building has a great story - or ten - to tell. I particularly love researching nondescript buildings, the type people pass by a hundred times without giving them much thought, to find what they have to say. Often, they are the stories of the unsung men and women who built this city, some quite literally with hammers and bricks, and made it what it is today. What I have been doing for over a decade is finding these stories and sharing them through my blogs, columns, (former) radio show and infrequent walking tours.
