| Introduction | I recently moved from the west coast of the United States to the wonderful country of Ireland. Some people have described my blog as offbeat. I am inclined to agree. I take offbeat to mean "someone who does not follow the traditional pattern or is unconventional." If you were to make a pie chart of my personality it would probably be 36% scientist, 27% cynic, 18% serious adult, 9% Lewis Carroll, 6% Douglas Adams, 3% Dave Barry and 1% psychedelic color not found in nature, possibly some form of electric sage green. Yoda would have his kitchen painted that color. It would be all Zen and groovy and stuff. Ommm... I think in a past life I was: A submarine captain, an aboriginal didgeridoo player, a student at Oxford, a WW-I flying ace, a Japanese kite maker, and a very smart octopus named Bob. My zodiac sign is Gemini. In the Harry Potter universe I am in Ravenclaw. If I were a wine I would be a 1971 Ridge Zinfandel. If I were a scene from a movie, I would be Lawrence of Arabia riding his Brough Superior motorcycle through the countryside. |
