| Introduction | In a nutshell ... Male - Aged 37 (38 in August 08). Made a New Years resolution to investigate Sailing as a new interest in 2007. I have just (Feb 08) spent my entire life savings on a yacht (Doris), and now (Jul 08) quit my job as Manager of an I.T. Security Team within Verizon Business based in London. I now live on the boat in Brighton and intend to set sail in August 08. The 'loose' Plan: UK - France - (Biscay) - Spain - Portugal - Madeira - Canaries - (Atlantic) - Carribean - Panama - Pacific... -- 07/2009: Ok, a year has now passed and I am older & wiser. Just about to complete the final leg of my North Atlantic circuit back to the UK. DORIS is now for sale and the new plan is to carry on sailing the world in a modest little boat (Katla - a 26ft Wooden Gaffer, which is waiting for me in the Caribbean) on a modest budget.
